Is VeriQor a review platform?
No. A review can be written by anyone. A VeriQor seal is earned through a structured assessment against a consistent, transparent standard.
Who is VeriQor for?
South African hospitality properties — guesthouses, B&Bs, lodges, safari lodges, boutique hotels, self-catering properties, and tented camps.
The Seal
What is a Seal of Excellence?
A live, clickable trust signal on your website linking to your verification page at veriqor.co.za — guests confirm your seal is genuine in real time.
Pending vs Verified Seal?
Pending issued within 24 hours of application and gateway document photo confirmation. Verified issued once payment and document verification are complete — upgrades automatically on your website.
What are the seal tiers?
Five tiers by VS Score — Diamond (9.0+), Gold (8.0–8.9), Silver (7.0–7.9), Bronze (5.1–6.9), Applicant (≤5.0).
Can my seal tier change?
Yes — in both directions. Better pillar performance moves you up; slipping performance moves you down. Always communicated in advance.
How do I display the seal?
Paste five lines of HTML into your website once. Works on Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, and anything that accepts HTML.
Can a property fake the seal?
No. The seal image is served live from VeriQor's servers. A property cannot freeze, copy, or manipulate their tier.
The Assessment
How is my score calculated?
Your VS Score is a weighted composite — Guest Satisfaction (40%), Compliance (40%), and Value (20%) — out of 10.0.
How are guest ratings collected?
Independently from platforms you nominate — Google, Booking.com, TripAdvisor, Airbnb, Expedia, SafariNow, LekkeSlaap. You submit nothing yourself.
What are the three gateway documents?
Certificate of Acceptability, Fire Safety Certificate, and Public Liability Insurance. All three must be valid before a Verified Seal is issued. No exceptions.
How many documents can I submit?
Up to ten scoring documents in addition to the three gateways — thirteen in total. Each scoring document contributes to your Compliance score.
Which documents contribute to my score?
TGCSA Grading, Liquor Licence, BBBEE, Tax Clearance, Fair Trade Tourism, Letter of Good Standing (DoL), FedHASA Membership, Energy Efficiency, Conservation Certificate, Hunting Permit.
Do I need all ten to qualify?
No. You qualify with your gateway documents alone. Each additional scoring document improves your VS Score and can move you to a higher tier.
Membership & Pricing
How much does membership cost?
Four plans — Monthly (R979), Quarterly (R2,793), 6 Months (R5,286), Annual (R9,984). All include full platform access and your Seal of Excellence.
How do I apply?
Complete the online application form, or email admin@veriqor.co.za. Pending Seal issued within 24 hours of receipt.
How long does verification take?
Pending Seal within 24 hours. Verified Seal within 48 hours of payment and physical document verification.
What happens at renewal?
A reminder is sent 7 days before your subscription ends. Reply with your preferred plan and your invoice is issued. Your seal remains active throughout.
What if my membership lapses?
Your seal reverts to Applicant status automatically. Reinstated immediately upon renewal — no re-assessment required.
Technical
What platforms does the embed work on?
Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, and anything that accepts HTML. Contact admin@veriqor.co.za if you need help.
Does the seal update automatically?
Yes. When your tier changes your website seal updates automatically — your embed code never changes.
How can a guest verify my seal?
By clicking the seal on your website — links to veriqor.co.za/verify showing your property name, VQ number, current tier, and VS Score.
How do I improve my tier?
Monthly performance reports flag areas for refinement. Submit additional compliance documents. We guide and advise you on tier promotions.
